Review: COVERGIRL Outlast All-Day Matte Finishing Powder and Soft Touch Concealer (BzzAgent)

BzzAgent CoverGirl Outlast All-Day Review

Now that we’re into a New Year, I can finally relax and reflect on the past year… including the last month which was so busy that it felt like an absolute whirlwind of a time!

I don’t know about you but I sure do appreciate makeup that can keep up with life without having to reapply it throughout the day. I’m talking comfortable and convenient. So when I received the chance to opt into this BzzAgent campaign, I jumped at it! It looked promising! I mean, a matte finishing powder and a concealer? I knew I could put these to good use!

I received two new COVERGIRL products from BzzAgent just before my Hawaiian vacation at the end of November – the parcel came the day before we left! I was so busy packing that I didn’t have much time to even look at the parcel. When we got home, it was well into December and also well into the holiday season! It was the perfect timing to start testing and trying out these two products!

Before I go into my experience and review, let’s take a look at each product.

The Products & First Impressions

I received two new COVERGIRL products. The first item I received in my BzzKit was the COVERGIRL Outlast All-Day Matte Finishing Powder. This pressed finishing powder formula  is a

Lightweight, silky-smooth powder formula that gives a perfectly matte finish. Helps control shine hour after hour. Matte shine control.

It is also oil free and won’t clog your pores. I often use a setting powder when I put on foundation or a BB cream but I have never tried a tinted setting powder. They have always been transparent. This one will be a first because it’s not transparent. I received the shade 830 Light to Medium to test. I wasn’t sure if this was going to be too light for me or not.

The packaging is not my favorite. It is a plastic compact that comes with a mirror… though, I do wish that the mirror was a little bit larger! It also comes with a powder puff that you can use to apply the finishing powder. I love the size of it because you can easily put this in your purse for touch ups.

The second item I received was the COVERGIRL Outlast All-Day Soft Touch Concealer.  This is

A concealer with a soft touch tip for gentle application and a lasting formula that gives you a smooth matte finish that lasts all day.

It is said to instantly erase the appearance of dark circles and blemishes, is oil free and won’t clog your pores. I typically use a concealer on my undereye area and to cover blemishes to even out my skin colour.

The packaging is a squeeze tube with a soft touch sponge tip as the applicator. This type of packaging makes it easy to control the amount of concealer being used. Just squeeze lightly… just enough so that you have the right amount of product. Then you just dab or draw the concealer onto your face.  The sponge tip is very soft and comfortable to use. This packaging makes it SO easy to us! The shade I received was in 820 Light. I will admit that my first impression of this was that it was going to be too light for me.

BzzAgent CoverGirl Outlast All-Day Review

Now that we have seen what the products are, let’s take a look of the AM-to-PM test I used to evaluate how well each one of these worked for me.

Putting it to the Test

The holiday season can get pretty crazy. Crazy busy, that is! Whether you are shopping for presents or groceries, preparing lavish holiday dinners or going to your office Christmas party or just a gathering at a friend’s place, life can get pretty hectic and busy in December. There are times where you will just be constantly on the go! I thought this would be the perfect time to put these products to the test! After all, they claim to last all day.

By the time I chose this “Test Day”, I had already been using both the Outlast All-Day Matte Finishing Powder and Soft Touch Concealer for about two weeks. I decided to document my day on Instagram.

I get up really early because I get to work really early. After applying my morning routine skincare which consists of a toner, serum and moisturizer, I used the Soft Touch Concealer under my eyes and on a couple of hormonal blemishes I had that day. It is super easy to apply. I just squeezed a bit of product out of the tube, drew a few lines under each eye and on each blemish then buffed it using my Sedona Lace round top brush which is great for applying cream products.

I wore my Neutrogena Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup foundation all over my face, also applying it with my Sedona Lace round top brush. Once I finished applying my foundation, I used the powder puff that was included in the Finishing Powder to apply it on top of my concealer.

This is what I looked like at 6:30 am.

This day was particularly busier than usual.

As usual, I spent over eight hours at work. That’s pretty much an average work day for me. I work in an office environment and in my job, every day is different! On this particular day, I had a couple of meetings throughout the day so I was running around a bit but then I also had some desk time to get some work done.

By noon, I checked on it and it looked fine. No touch up necessary as it was pretty much the same as it had been five hours ago. So far so good!

After work, I went Christmas shopping! I walked around a very busy mall in a winter jacket, carrying many bags for around three hours. At this point, I thought I was going to overheat in my winter jacket and was wondering if my makeup was starting to melt off my face!  It was a very long day and I was happy to be going home with the Christmas presents I bought that night. Mission accomplished!

Once I got home, I took another picture. This is how it looked at 8:30 pm. 14 hours after I first put the concealer and finishing powder on. I did have a few spots that were starting to be shiny but it wasn’t that bad. I looked tired but both the concealer and finishing powder held up! Overall, both products seemed to have performed really well as my makeup still looked great at the end of the day!

At 8 pm: following up on my post from this morning, I tested out both the @covergirl Outlast All Day Concealer and Outlast All Day Matte Finish Powder from @BzzAgent. I put it on at around 6:30 am and proceeded with my day which consisted of 8+ hours at work, 3+ hours walking around Christmas shopping in a winter jacket. Face is a bit shiny in some spots but otherwise my makeup still looked pretty good! I may look a bit tired, too – it was a long busy day! Look for my actual review on the blog SOON! #nofilter #AllDayFlawless #GotItFree #bzzagent #covergirl #foundation #concealer #settingpowder #loveofmakeup #newproduct #beauty #makeupobsessed #makeupaddict #igmakeup #igbeauty #instamakeup #instabeauty #beautyblogger #beautyblog #canadianblogger #yegblogger #makeuplover

The Verdict

So at the end of the day, I’m really happy with both the COVERGIRL All-Day Outlast Soft Touch Concealer and Matte Finishing Powder. There was a lot to love about both products! They were both very long lasting which is great for those who are on the go because it means less touch up are required as you go about your day. The concealer was still concealing and the finishing powder kept my fact from getting shiny for most of the day.

The concealer was super easy to use. I loved how I could control the amount of product I was using. It comes in a 10 ml squeeze tube so there is lots of product here and it should last you awhile! Light was actually the perfect shade for me to conceal my dark undereye circles and blemishes. It blended in easily and made my skin look great! It was also super light while still providing me with the coverage I deisred and it didn’t feel like I was wearing anything. It wasn’t sticky and blended perfectly.

The finishing powder was also pretty great. I have tried applying it with the powder puff and with a large fluffy blush brush and both methods work well. It’s super easy to apply and it doesn’t look powdery on my skin. At first I was concerned that the shade Light to Medium was going to be too light and would wash out my skin – especially after I had tanned quite a bit from my holiday in Hawaii – but the shade was perfect! This product does the job in keeping my skin in check and not oily throughout the day. Plus, these are readily available at wherever you can find COVERGIRL products. I haven’t done much shopping this year (due to my no buy) but I have seen these at Shoppers Drug Mart already.

BzzAgent CoverGirl Outlast All-Day Review

Overall, I love both these products! I will – and have! – continue to use these products pretty much daily! In hindsight, I now wish I had brought theses along with me on my vacation! I would definitely repurchase both of these and recommend them to others – like you! My lovely readers. πŸ™‚

Thank you BzzAgent and COVERGIRL for this excellent opportunity to try new products and discover two products that I probably wouldn’t have tried on my own! Discovering new amazing products and potential “holy grail items” is what I love about being a blogger!

Have you tried these products yet? What do you think?

Unboxing: Color By Amber Color Club January 2017 – Be a Goal Getter

color by amber color club january 2017

Happy Monday!

It has been a few months now since I last accepted a Color by Amber Color Club Box. I wanted to really use what jewelry pieces I already had – and trust me, I have A LOT. πŸ˜‰ My will power got me through for the most part… until I saw the January reveal. I broke my No Buy because I knew I had to get it!

Before we get to the unboxing, you may be asking “What is Color Club?”

Color Club is a monthly jewelry subscription box from the company Color By Amber. If you would like to learn more about CBA and what an amazing and caring company they are, please see my first unboxing post here. The subscription box costs $59.95 CAN plus taxes each month but you can skip months (or gift that month’s box to a friend) as long as you respond before the deadline. But when you do find a set that you love, it is totally worth it. Totally. I can tell you there are pieces from past Color Club’s boxes that I wear all the time. The contents of the boxes are unique and available for that month only and only through Color Club.

color by amber color club january 2017

Formalities aside, here is January’s Color Club unboxing!

First, let’s take a look at the box. I haven’t accepted in months so the box itself was a pleasant surprise to me!  The packaging has changed! It is so cute, I love it! When you open it up, it shows you the months theme and there are two compartments. On the left, it’s your Color Club goodies. On the right, it’s any other pieces you ordered when you accepted your Color Club. You do get 20% off any additional pieces you decide to add on. In my case, I didn’t purchase anything this month so the right compartment was empty.

color by amber color club january 2017

January’s theme is Be a Goal Getter. How perfect is this for the first month of a new year?  While most  Color Club boxes come with a couple of pieces of jewelry, this month, it’s just one. But it’s totally okay! I will explain why in a little bit.

This month, it was a gorgeous charm bracelet with a whole lot of meaning behind it. They really said it best in their reveal email where they said

Each charm in this set will help you along every step in the goal reaching process. Just take a look at your wrist whenever you feel yourself slipping; and whether it’s time for a checkpoint or time to take action, your January Color Club will be there.

color by amber color club january 2017

color by amber color club january 2017

Each charm has a meaning behind it meant to be a reminder to get that goal! There are five charms included on the bracelet. Here is a description of each charm:

Take Aim – arrow charm
This charm features the Full Circle Interlayer called “Knotted Blaze”. Artisans in Nepal weave together two of their most popular interlayers – hand-knotted hemp and blue, shimmery lurex threads – into this new combo. I just love the colour of this one!

Act Now – bar with Color By Amber tag charm
This charm features the Beauty Interlayer called “Sweater”. I have the Sweater cuff so I love this interlayer! It’s a knit fabric with some gold interweaved into it. Super cozy!

Checkpoint – flower charm
This charm features the Full Circle Interlayer called “Grey Leaves”. These are prayer leaves that are made by Artisans in China that pound the leaf so that it only reveals a skeleton.

Follow Through – circle charm
This charm features the Sustainable Interlayer called “Gilded Denim”. This one is recycled denim with a splash of metallic gold!

Goal-Getter – diamond charm
This charm features the Full Circle Interlayer called “Beam” which is probably one of my favourite interlayers of all time! I have earrings in this, too. πŸ™‚ This charm features lurex fibers weaved together by Artisans in Nepal. There is also a crystal on it that I love!

color by amber color club january 2017

I have had this bracelet for a few days now and just love it! The mix of colours are pretty neutral so it can go with just about anything in your wardrobe and is such a versatile piece! I have worn it alone. I have worn it with other Skinnies. Either way works! The bracelet is gold so you can use it to dress your outfit up but the charms make it fun so you can dress it down and wear it with something casual. Plus, you can wear it with just one charm or all of the charms!

Now going back to my previous comment where I mentioned that I was okay with this being the only piece of jewelry I received in this Color Club Box. There is a reason behind this. The charms can come off the bracelet so you can use it as pendants on a chain and wear it as a necklace! You can use one charm for a dainty look, a few charms for a bit more colour, or heck, you could probably put them all on a chain and wear these as a necklace! Regardless of the chain length, any one of these would also make beautiful pendants.

color by amber color club january 2017

How’s that for a versatile piece that also reminds you to be the best you can be?

I truly loved this month’s box and I’m super happy to have added this bracelet to my collection of CBA jewelry. It’s a great way to accessorize and it’s a great reminder that, whatever you have your mind set on this year, you can do it!

Interested in some Color By Amber goodies? You don’t have to subscribe to this box to get jewelry. In fact, they are having their winter sale right now! Check out my stylist friend Lisa’s website and shop here.

What are your big goals this year? Share them in the comments below! πŸ™‚

Have an amazing week everyone!

Project Pan: 16 in 2016 – Wrap Up and Results

Project Pan: 16 in 2016

Hi everyone! Welcome to my year-end wrap up of my 2016 Project Pan… um, project. πŸ™‚

This was the very first time I have attempted a Project Pan before so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Quite honestly, it was more challenging that I thought. But now that we’re into a new year, I thought I would reflect back on my attempt in 2016 and see what types of changes I can make for the better going into my 2017 Project Pan. That’s right – I liked it enough to attempt another one!

The Results

Empties: 14/20 (minus one because I did remove one product from the last count of 21)
Left over at the end of 2016: 6/20

At the end of 2016, I had accomplished 14 empties for my Project Pan. This is two short of my goal of 16 but that’s still not bad, right? 14 is a good number and I am happy that I accomplished even that much! Plus, let’s not forget all the empties I had this year that were not included in my Project Pan. In my mind, those definitely count – I did still use them up this year! – so I did very well.

If you want to see my previous Project Pan posts, here are the links: Intro 1, Intro 2, Update 1, Mid-Year Update

Final Update

To dive into the specifics a bit more since my last update in the summer, I have finished the Dear By Enprani Bounce Cream Cheese moisturizer and the Dear By Enprani Believe in a Bottle toner. that I received in a Memebox so long ago. That’s what brought my empties total to 14 products. The following is what was left over:

  1. pur~lisse Blue Lotus 4-in-1 Eye Adore Serum (which I later removed from my Project Pan in favour of an eye cream that I was already using at the time)
  2. Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser – the never-ending tube, I swear! I did make a good dent in it, though. I would say that I am about 80% finished it…. a vast improvement from the maybe 20% at the beginning of 2016.
  3. PINK by Victoria Secret Party in Paradise Body Mist – I have many perfumes and many perfume samples… so I strayed from this… badly… especially after the first 6 months.
  4. The Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder – sadly, this was probably a bad choice for my Project Pan in the first place. Why? Because I tan so easily and by the month of May, this product was not required and became irrelevant. So I stopped using it.
  5. MAC Cosmetics 4 Pan Palette – I tried so hard to use this as much as  could but I own so many other eyeshadows so I didn’t. It was too hard and I got bored. Next!
  6. Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush in Adore – See #5. It’s virtually the same reason. I also realized that I didn’t like it very much anyways. While it’s a very pretty colour, it just wasn’t pigemented enough! Strongly considering just getting rid of it altogether.

Summary and Realizations

I found it much easier to use up skin care items. Mostly because I use skin care every day, during the day and night. It gets used. Those items were easy and I felt really accomplished when it came to my skin care Project Pan items.

Makeup was the challenge! I got bored with them and strayed to my other makeup. I’m sure by September I had stopped using all the makeup items completely in favour of my other products.

I learned a lot about myself during my first Project Pan attempt. For example, I learned a lot about skin care and what works for me. I also learned to have a skin care routine that is consistent – I’ve never washed my face before bed as consistently until doing this! I also use makeup wipes less in favour of great cleansers. I also learned that I do need a variety of makeup. Limiting myself to only a few things bored me… it was no fun. I needed other eyeshadows and blushes! Hence why it wasn’t so successful.

Changes for 2017

You better believe I am going to do a Project Pan again in 2017! I still have a ton of things to use up! When I decided to do one for 2017, I knew I had to take all my lessons learned to heart. So with that being said, I will be strictly concentrating on only skin care, body care and hair care. Things that I do actually use every day and have a chance at having a successful Project Pan. No makeup!

However, I do have something in store for makeup this year. Drumroll please – Monthly Shop My Stash posts!

Each month, I will pick a selection of makeup items. The goal is not to use up the products but to use it as much as I can during the month. Then when the month is up, repeat. By doing this monthly, my makeup will still get used and I won’t get bored! Plus by putting my makeup on rotation, I can’t forget about the makeup that I have. I will hopefully be less likely to purchase something that I may already have or already own that is similar. This also helps me as a distraction from buying new products during my No Buy that I started on January 1st.

Yes – I am currently on a No Buy! No set goal length… just for as long as I can. Wish me luck! πŸ˜‰

I still have to give some thought as to what I am including in my 2017 Project Pan and the details surrounding it, such as, the number of items and what those items will be. But rest assured, when I do have it all figured out, you will see it here first!

Hope you are all having a wonderful first week in 2017! πŸ™‚

Unboxing + Review: Miss Blanco Joyful Box December 2016 – Celebration

miss blanco joyful box december 2016

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a great New Years! I had a wonderful holiday season, spending Christmas and New Years with family and friends.

Another year of blog posts gone by! Here’s to another year more. I plan on some new blog series, more unboxings and more actual product reviews this year! I hope you stay and enjoy the ride with me. πŸ™‚

The very first unboxing for 2017 is the December Miss Blanco Joyful Box. I received this just before Christmas (literally – it arrived on December 23rd!) so I am just getting to my unboxing now. I was so happy to see it come just in time for Christmas! And the theme for December is Celebration, which is the perfect theme for the season.

For those of you who ware not familiar with this subscription: Miss Blanco Joyful Box is a lifestyle box sent straight to you each month containing five items that are a mix of deluxe or full sized beauty times,  hand-curated items and lifestyle items.  It is priced at $38.00 CAD (or $28 USD) monthly.

Miss Blanco Joyful Box does offer a VIP member option in addition to the standard subscription. This is just an option – you are not required to opt into this – but for $30.00 CAD per year, you can opt into this program. Please note that you must already be a subscriber and that the cost is on top of your monthly subscription cost. BUT you get a full year of extra perks and surprises for $2.50 CAD per month.  If you do decide to join, please put my name in the field where it asks who referred you – Olivia from starpixel. I would very much appreciate it! πŸ™‚

Miss Blanco Joyful Box December 2016

There is a lot to cover for the month of December so we should get started. December’s box contains two artisan items that are hand made, two beauty items and one lifestyle item for regular members or two lifestyle items for VIPs.

The first item isn’t really an item in the box but I would like to take notice of it anyways! Love this magnetic Miss Blanco Joyful Box 2017 calendar that came in my box! I will definitely be putting this up somewhere at home or at work. I’m not sure where yet. This is super practical and perfect to kick off a new year!

Miss Blanco Joyful Box December 2016

The first of two artisan items I receved is a Bath Bomb in the scent Hot Chocolate from Sunbasilgarden Soaps ($7.50 CAD, one full sized bath bomb). If you are a chocolate or a vanilla lover like I am, you will think that this smells delicious! I love hot cocoa during the colder months so this was perfect for me! There were three other scents availalbe – Mistletoe, Sugar Cookie and a Minty Peppermint one – but I’m so glad I received this one because it smells delish! I love bath bombs but I will admit, I don’t take baths as often as I probably should. I really should make a better effort because bath bombs are the perfect thing for a night in if you just want to relax!

The other artisan item was this gorgeous heart ornament from Crate Charms ($10.00 CAD). This piece features a heart with scalloped edges. This can easily turn into a lovely ornament that you can put on your Christmas tree… or wherever else you may want to hang it. Perhaps from your rear view mirror in your car or even on your purse.

Miss Blanco Joyful Box December 2016

Moving on to the beauty items! This first item – or two items – are not a stranger to me. This is kind of a 2-for-1 deal because you are getting two nail polishes instead of just one! I received two Essie nail polishes in the shades Russian Roulette (a classic red orange shade) and Getting Groovy (from Essie’s Winter 2016 line, a lovely palladium gold) ($17.00 CAD). Of the two, I think I prefer the gold shade, because honestly, you can’t go wrong with a bit of sparkle during the holiday season! Wear one shade alone or wear them both! I myself see myself wearing the red polish as is with the gold being on an accent nail.

Miss Blanco Joyful Box December 2016

This other beauty offering was a shampoo and conditioner deluxe sized duo from the brand Bain de Terre  featuring their Lavender Color Enhancing Shampoo and Keratin Phyto-Protein Strengthening Conditioner ($8.00 CAD). I have never heard of this brand before but it smells really good so I am willing to try it. From what I can tell, though, the shampoo and conditioner are from different product collections. The Lavender Color Enhancing Collection is brand new and the shampoo looks good seeing as it’s a paraben free product. The Keratin Phyto-Protein Collection is both sulfate and paraben free. I do colour my hair so the shampoo will be nice to try next time I get my hair done. I love strengthening products so the conditioner will come in handy, too.

Miss Blanco Joyful Box December 2016

Last up are the lifestyle items. Depending on whether or not you are a VIP member, you may have received one or two lifestyle items.

All members received a Gold Gladiator Hair Band ($31.00 CAD). Wow, this is the high value item in this box! Not sure if that is the going rate for these types of hair bands! This is a beaitiful gold headband that can easily be incorporated into an evening look or as a fun piece with a cute top and jeans for casual days. It is definitely a pop of gold, regardless of what you are wearing! Seems pretty versitile to me. I personally don’t wear hair bands myself other than the headbands I use when I’m putting on makeup to keep my hair out of my eyes or when I’m working out or when I just need something to keep my hair in check when I’m having a lazy day at home or while camping. My head bands are definitely not as glam as this one. Glad I can add something like this to my  accessories collection!

Miss Blanco Joyful Box December 2016

If you are a VIP member, you also received an extra item – a Gold Scarf ($24.99 CAD). I will be honest, this isn’t really my style but it’s still a beautiful scarf! And it coordinates great with the gold headband! I have not see anything like it so it’s very unique in style and super light to go with almost any ensemble.

Miss Blanco Joyful Box December 2016

So that’s all for December! The total value of the box is $73.50 CAD for regular members and $98.49 CAD for VIP members. That’s pretty good value for a lifestyle box! More than double what I paid for.

The December box had a nice variety of items but I personally preferred my October and November boxes. That being said, I will still use most of the items from December.

What are your thoughts on the December Miss Blanco Joyful Box?

Until next time! Have a Happy New Year everyone!

Unboxing + Review: ipsy December 2016 carpe p.m.

ipsy December 2016

It’s almost a new year! Can you believe it? I feel like 2016 went by in a flash… like I blinked and it was gone! But a New Year also means New Years Eve gatherings and celebrations and ipsy’s December bag is one that you can use as your go-to clutch this holiday season. πŸ˜‰

ipsy December 2016

ipsy’s theme for December is carpe p.m. A quick Google search shows that the word “carpe” means to “seize, enjoy, use, make use of” so “carpe p.m.” may translate into something like “seize the night” or “enjoy the night”. And you can “make use of” the pretty magenta pink clutch when you’re at it! See, it all makes sense in the end.

ipsy December 2016

The contents support a fun night out, as well! Let’s take a closer look at each product that was included in my December ipsy bag.

The first item is probably my fave. Granted, I am a big lip balm junkie – I am obsessed with lip balms! Especially peppermint ones.. which this one is. The Jersey Shore Cosmetics Peppermint Moisture Rich Hydrating Balm ($10.00 USD, 0.15 oz) looks like a winner to me! I am already obsessed with Jersey Shore Cosmetic’s Mongongo Lip Conditioners so that alone tells me that I will love this Peppermint lip balm, as well. I love how the brand is non-toxic and paraben free, as well! If it wasn’t so expensive to ship things to Canada, I would probably try more of their products. Anyways, back to the lip balm… I am not quite ready to start using this one yet – I have three lip balms on the go right now! But I’m looking forward to trying it soon. πŸ™‚

ipsy December 2016

So now that your lips are soft and smooth from using a lip balm, it’s time for a bolder lip. Enter the tarte cosmetics tarteist glossy lip paint in WCW ($4.00 CAD, 1 m). WCW is a berry colour but since this has more of a lip gloss consistency, it’s not as deep of a berry shade as I thought it would be from looking at the shade in the tube. It’s perfect for a night out or for any holiday parties you have! I always wanted to try this product so I’m glad I received it. It’s not drying on your lips at all and it’s very pigmented for a lip gloss.

ipsy December 2016

ipsy December 2016

This next product is already a fave of mine and I’ve been using it for a couple of years now.  The Benefit Cosmetics the POREfessional face primer ($6.86 CAD, 3 ml) is so great! It is meant to minimize the appearance of your pores which is something that I always struggle with. I often use this on my nose and cheeks. This product applies smoothly and isn’t sticky at all. It also does a great job as an overall face primer. My makeup seems to stay put when I use it this way. I’m happy that I received another deluxe sample of this as they are always put to good use! πŸ™‚

ipsy December 2016

Next is the Royal & Langnickel MODA Angle Shader Brush ($5.99 USD? – I couldn’t find the exact brush on the site but this is a guesstimate based on similar brushes). Royal & Langnickel’s MODA brush line is super colourful, has synthetic bristles and has a Silk-Touch coated handle that makes it super easy to use and feels comfortable. I haven’t tried it yet but I hope to soon. Plus, it is purple which is my favourite colour! Can’t go wrong with that. πŸ™‚

Last but not least, is not a makeup item but it’s a pretty great body care item! The Cake Beauty heavy cream intensive hand repair balm ($6.47 USD, 1 oz) is great! I was already a big fan of Cake Beauty’s Delectible lotions so I was looking forward to trying this. As the name says, it’s definitely a heavy cream (heavier in consistency than the Delectible line) but it is very moisturizing so I’m a fan! Plus it smells like vanilla and I love vanilla scents! It’s a cold, dry winter here in Alberta so my skin is always so parched and dry, including my hands. Good stuff!

Well that’s it for December! I loved everything I received! The value of this bag was $41.26 CAD (based on today’s exchange rate) so it was worth it! Plus I will use everything that I have received so that’s a huge bonus. ipsy has been more good to me than not so I will continue to sub to this beauty bag!

For those of you who would like to give this a try and would like to know more, it is $10.00 USD  a month in the US and $10.00 USD + $4.00 USD shipping for Canadians.
