About the Girl…

Hi, I’m Olivia and thanks for visiting!

So a little bit about me: I live in Western Canada with my hubby and our cat, Kitty. You might see Kitty cameos in my post at times.

And here are some random facts:

I am in my early thirties.
I just got married in 2014 to my love and best friend. <3
I have a Siberian tortoiseshell cat. Well, she is really my husbands… I wasn’t in the picture yet when he adopted her.
I love the mountains and being in (somewhat) close proximity to the Rocky Mountains is amazing.
I enjoy traveling and seeing the world.
I studied Finance in university but mysteriously ended up working in the IT world.
I am thankful for ending up in an IT job otherwise I never would have met my other half!
I have a very large, rather unhealthy, collection of beauty products.
I collect hoodies. I have SO many and I live in them because they are SO comfy!
Purses? Yes, please! Though my hubby would tend to differ. The same thing could be said for shoes.
I adore a good bargain! I keep an eye out for sales. This goes for makeup, clothes, shoes, food, household items, everything!
I coupon when couponing makes sense. I don’t just buy things because I have a coupon.
I am a gamer girl. Yes, I play World of Warcraft but lately my game has been Diablo III.
I take a lot of photos. I am talking A LOT.
I read a lot of books and magazines and local publications. Oh and stuff on the internet, of course.
I love music from Keith Urban to Maroon 5 and beyond. A whole mix of stuff. Spotify is my friend.
I have my staple TV shows: The Big Bang Theory, The Amazing Race, Supernatural, Hell’s Kitchen, The Librarians, The Walking Dead, The Vampire Diaries

About the Site…

I like writing! So why not start writing about things I really enjoy? This is why I started my blog.

One thing I am really passionate about is beauty products. I subscribe to quite a few beauty boxes and I’m addicted to finding out what’s new at Sephora or at my local drugstore and department stores. I will admittedly say that my beauty products collection is way too big but I just can’t help it!

Granted, beauty is not defined as just makeup and beauty products. So don’t be shocked to see a random fashion post here, a random jewelry post there… maybe even a recipe and travel post because I love those too.

My goal is to post at least twice a week, on Sundays and Thursdays, at a minimum. Some weeks you may see more from me.

I am PR friendly and if you are interested in working together, please check out my site content & PR information page.

I work full time as an IT professional during the week but also have other hobbies such as playing video games and fitness related things so time can be precious. This site was meant to be a hobby but who knows, maybe one day it will become more! But for now, I just enjoy having an outlet where I can write about stuff I love.

What I Blog About…

Beauty and Other Product Reviews – The majority of the products mentioned on my blog were purchased by me. I have started doing reviews for sites like Influenster and BzzAgent who send me products to review. Honesty is the best policy so I always provide my honest opinion.

Product Review Disclaimer – Products sent to me for review are fully disclosed and denoted in the blog post in some way, shape or form – for example, in the post itself, in the disclaimer at the bottom of the post or with an asterisk (*). Some posts contain affiliate and/or referral links. If this is the case, the blog post will clearly state this.

Subscriptions – I have become a bit of an addict! My current subscriptions are:

  • ipsy (monthly)
  • FabFitFun (seasonal, 4 times a year)
  • Color By Amber Color Club (monthly, can skip months)

Etcetera – I love to include posts of other things that interest me and are important in my life when I can. This may include, but is not limited to, recipes, crafts, fashion, and travel posts.
