Unboxing + Review: Glow Getter Summer Heat 2017

glow getter summer heat 2017

I don’t know why but I just love seasonal subscription boxes! Perhaps it is because they give you an opportunity to try so many products from makeup to lifestyle and fitness products… sometimes even snack goodies!

One such box is the Canadian subscription called Glow Getter.

glow getter summer heat 2017

Glow Getter ( is a seasonal subscription box that ships to your door quarterly as the seasons change. You get four boxes a year and each box contains six or more full-sized products. This subscription costs $56.00 CAD per season which includes all taxes and shipping. While this is a Canadian subscription service, it is also available to those who are in the United States.

The summer Glow Getter box’s theme is called Summer Heat. The product card says:

Whether you are taking in some sun, having a date night out or enjoying the local market, we have what you need to soak in the Summer heat!

This is only my second season with this subscription so this is only my second box. I was so impressed with the Spring Box (see that unboxing here) that I couldn’t wait to see what summer had in store! Well the wait is now over! Let’s take a peek at what was in the Summer box. Once you see everything, you’ll see that the product card was spot on!

glow getter summer heat 2017 - jersey shore cosmetics

The first two items we will take a look at are from a company called Jersey Shore Cosmetics. I am already a big fan of their Mongongo lip balm so I was excited to try more from this brand!

The first one is the Jersey Shore Anti-Aging Sunscreen Stick SPF 30 ($29.00 CAD). How convenient is that? This mineral sunscreen stick is 100% natural and super portable. Keep in in your purse or beach bag and you’re good to go! All you need to do is apply it to your skin and blend it in. Easy peasy. This is a great sunscreen to use on your face, protecting you from both UVA and UVB rays. The downside is that it is not waterproof or water resistant so you should reapply it often – they recommend every two hours. Still, I can’t wait to try it! I will take it with me on my summer holiday. And yes, this is a full sized product. 🙂

From natural sun protection to natural makeup, the second item is the Jersey Shore Natural Radiant Gold Leaf Highlighter ($29.00 CAD). This is also full sized. Being a highlighter junkie (yes, I’m not just a lip junkie :D), I was super happy to see this! You can use this on your cheekbones, nose, lips and even shoulders for a more luminous all over summer look.  The shade Gold Leaf (it also comes in the shade Platinum) contains edible gold leaf and gives your skin a sun-touched glow. Again, this product is 100% natural and is paraben and petrochemical free. You know, all the nasties. I’m always happy to try new natural products.

glow getter summer heat 2017 - wtichcraft bath

The next item I received is a homemade product from Spellcraft Bath. One of their specialty products, the Spellcraft Bath Berry Mint Foot Scrub ($8.50 CAD) contains poppy seeds that will gently exfoliate your feet and peppermint oil to cool and refresh them. It is 100% sulfate, paraben and gluten free. This arrived just in time for me because my feet are in serious need for some TLC! As I love wearing sandals and flip flops when the weather is warmer, my feet are feeling a little bit rough. I can’t wait to try this! It also smells so good!

glow getter summer heat 2017 - evelyn iona

Have I ever mentioned my love for lip products? I’m sure I have… many times. Of course my love of lippies includes lip glosses. The Evelyn Iona Natural and Organic Lip Gloss in the shade Susan ($28.00 CAD) is great! I really love the formulation because it’s not at all sticky and it feels moisturizing and creamy on my lips. Susan is a soft pink shade and it is beautiful! It is not crazy and bold so you can pretty much wear it every day. I also love the natural ingredients it contains, such as, bark extract (tightens and plumps), Vitamin E (moisturizes), oregano (antioxidant), coconut oil (anti-aging) and shea butter (heals). Because it is a lip gloss, I don’t really expect it to have staying power. So great! I am so happy with this lippie!

glow getter summer heat 2017 - evelyn iona

While this was not on the product card, I also received the Evelyn Iona Bamboo Concealer Brush ($15.50 USD). This is a small concealer brush. I’m very curious to see how it performs as it’s the smallest concealer brush I have seen… it reminds me of a lip brush.

glow getter summer heat 2017

Moving away from beauty for just a minute, let’s take a look at the fitness item I received. The Sally Yoga/Running Headband from Beautiful Boundaries ($8.59 CAD) is handmade and made from nylon/spandex. It is super comfortable to wear and it’s breathable too. The design is cute with flowers and bright colours. The way the headband is designed is that it is wider in the front and narrower in the back which helps create a non-slip design. I will have to try it next time I work out. 🙂

glow getter summer heat 2017

Gotta admit, I love discovering great indie nail brands. I received a Beyond The Nail nail polish in the shade Glow Getter ($8.00 CAD). Dare I guess that this summery, bright orange shade was named after this box? 😉 How great is that? While I probably wouldn’t choose a colour like this on my own, it sure looks like a fun summery shade to pull off on your toes!

glow getter summer heat 2017 - kind bars

Now who can resist a healthy snack? It would be a good one before or after a work out. I’m talking about KIND bars ($2.00 CAD each). I have seen these in stores before but have never tried them. I received two flavours: Almond + Coconut and Almond Sea Salt + Dark Chocolate. Both of these look so good! I’m sure they are tasty and delicious. Can’t wait to try these.

glow getter summer heat 2017

With all these goodies from the summer box, you need something to carry it all, right? How about a black tote bag from Small Glow that says “Goal, Smash, Repeat” ($22.00 CAD)? I think that would be perfect! This is a good sized tote bag to carry a lot and the gold lettering looks fab. I love this fun tote bag!

glow getter summer heat 2017

The final item in the summer box was a Glitter Silisponge from Get Into the Limelight ($24.00 CAD). I love my beauty sponges but I have always been curious about silisponges. I have used this one a couple of times now and it works well on my skin. I can’t complain. I am using it as directed, dabbing and blending concealer and foundation on my skin. I love how easy it is to use and also how easy it is to clean! I think I will continue to use this. I still love my BeautyBlender but this is a good product too.

And that’s it! You have now seen everything in my Summer 2017 Glow Getter Box. The total value for this box was $161.09 CAD – and that’s not even including the mysterious brush that snuck in there and wasn’t on the product card. That’s pretty much three times the value I paid. I had so much fun unboxing this one and I’m super happy with everything! I don’t see one thing that I won’t use (or eat! ;)) so I found that this box was worth it for me.

Unboxing + Review: ipsy May 2017 Summer Friday

ipsy may 2017

Are you ready for summer? I sure am! And May’s glam bag is just the thing one needs to kickstart their summer season.

Titled Summer Friday, May’s glam bag is so cute and proper. It features ice cream and popsicles and is waterproof. It screams summer and is perfect for the pool, the beach and other summer activities!

ipsy may 2017

ipsy may 2017

I received a good mix of products in May. Let’s take a look!

ipsy may 2017 benefit cosmetics gimme brow

The first item in my bag was the Benefit Cosmetics gimme brow volumizing fiber gel in the shade 5 ($10.67 CAD, 1 g). I used to love gimme brow. The old version. I’m not sure if they changed the formulation of this when they changed the packaging but I have tried this new version before but it didn’t work out too well for me. The skin around my brows became super dry. I couldn’t tell if it was an allergic reaction or if it just dried out my skin. I don’t know if I received old product… so I’m a bit pensive. I’m not sure if I will try this again. I have heard that it has worked wonders for others, though!

ipsy may 2017 hempz

Next we have the Hempz Pomegranate Herbal Body Moisturizer ($7.50 CAD, 2.25 oz). This is a nice sized sample and smells heavenly! I will definitely be trying this one out.

ipsy may 2017 trestique

The trestique Mini Matte Lip Crayon I received what in the shade Tuscan Wine ($10.67 USD, 0.025 oz). I’m not sure about this colour. I don’t often use colours this dark and dramatic. While I love the formulation (I have other shades of this product), I think I am going to pass on this shade. This doesn’t quite work with my day-to-day work and weekend looks. It would be nice, though, if I were going glam… which doesn’t happen often.

ipsy may 2017 luxie

ipsy may 2017 luxie

This next product is great – Luxie Beauty’s Dreamcatcher Precision Foundation Brush 660 ($30.91 USD). This brush can be used to apply liquid, cream or powder foundations, concealers, highlighters and bronzers. I absolutely adore my other Luxie brushes so I’m happy to add this to my collection. They feel so soft and work so well. Plus, the handle colour of the Dreamcatcher line is beautiful!

ipsy may 2017 kvossnyc

The final product in my May glam bag is the KVossNYC Macaroon Lip Balm in Light Cream ($14.00 USD, 0.25 oz). Being the self-proclaimed lip balm junkie that I am, I always welcome a new lip balm to try! It smells sweet and it’s supposed to be very moisturizing. Looking forward to trying this. 🙂

So that’s it for this month! The total value of my May ipsy glam bag was roughly $92.00 CAD based on today’s exchange rate. That’s not bad at all! The unfortunate part is that I don’t love all the products. Aside from the body lotion, brush and lip balm, I am not a fan of the other products. That’s the risk you take with these beauty subscriptions!

ipsy may 2017

This is my final remaining monthly subscription. The remainder of my subscriptions are all seasonal. I’m okay with that, though, because I do need to downsize my collection badly. Subscriptions can really pile up! Oh well, I am still enjoying my ipsy bag. I love at least having one sub to surprise me every month. 🙂

Like what you see here? For those of you who would like to give this a try and would like to know more, this subscription is $10.00 USD  a month in the US and $10.00 USD + $4.00 USD shipping for Canadians. You get a mix of skincare, makeup and haircare deluxe and full sized products. And you get a different style of bag each month. If you are interested in trying this subscription, please use my link here. 🙂

Enjoy the rest of your week everyone!

Shop My Stash: May and June 2017

shop my stash may june 2017

Shop My Stash 2017 is just about to hit the midway mark! Six months into this endeavour and I’m still going strong! I’m making my way through my collection and finding all sorts of products that I forgot about. It’s been a great exercise of discovery!

For those who are just joining us…

What is a Shop My Stash?

It’s exactly what it sounds like. Every month, I will be going into my makeup collection and – you guessed it – I will shop my stash. 🙂 Just think of it as a haul post but instead of makeup I bought at Sephora or at Shoppers Drug Mart, it’s a haul straight from my own collection! And I’m hoping that by doing this monthly, I won’t get bored of the products I chose like I did in last year’s Project Pan.

If you’re interested, you can find my other Shop My Stash posts here.

How Shop My Stash Works

Every month I will take one or two of these types of products and put them in a basket.

  • Face primer
  • Color correction (none this month)
  • Concealer
  • Foundation / BB Cream
  • Blush
  • Highlighter
  • Bronzer (none this month)
  • Setting powder
  • Pore reducer
  • Eye primer
  • Eye shadow (palette or singles)
  • Eyeliner
  • Brow
  • Brow setting gel
  • Mascara primer
  • Mascara
  • Setting Spray

If you haven’t noticed, I did not include any lip products (lipstick, lipgloss, etc.) to my list. This is because they are already in rotation in my purse. I change them around a lot so I didn’t think they needed special attention like the rest of these products!

At the end of each month I will have to make a few decisions: keep the product, continue using it (for those holy grail products I must always use) or get rid of it. I’m hoping that by doing this I can help identify my loves and get rid of what I don’t want anymore. I hope that I can get my collection under control.

Don’t get me wrong, though. I am not going to be limited to only using what’s in my basket. If there’s something I want to use then by all means, I will! The basket is just there to help give me something to focus on that month.

Then at the end of the month, I will summarize my monthly basket (what I loved, what I didn’t love, etc.) and then I will pick out a new basket of products!

Shop My Stash for May and June 2017

Because my April basket was used up to about the second week of April, I decided to use this next basket for the rest of May and into the month of June. I don’t mind adding a little extra time cause that just allows me to use up more of these products.

May and June’s basket is not that extensive. I am starting to realize that there are some types of products where I only have one product left and I won’t have to cycle through them anymore. A good example of this is my brow gel. I only have one now – the MAC Brow Set in Clear – so I have decided that this is going to be the last Shop My Stash it will be a part of. Also, by keeping a small basket of goodies and concentrating on certain products, the likelihood of finishing products is higher.

So let’s get started. 🙂

shop my stash may june 2017 laura mercier

  • Eye shadow (palette or singles): Urban Decay Naked2 Palette, Laura Mercier Eye Art Artist’s Palette

So that’s it for now. It’s a pretty good basket of products! I am wondering if a month and a half is too long and I will get antsy and use more than what’s in the basket. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, of course! But I do need to concentrate on some products so I can have more empties and start throwing more out. The goal at the end of the day is to downsize my collection. My April one didn’t really identify much that I should get rid of so I need to improve that aspect of my Shop My Stash.

Ah well, this will always be a work in progress! I believe that as long as I continue on this route, my collection will shrink naturally. It just takes time. 🙂

Hope you had an amazing weekend everyone!

Shop My Stash Recap: April 2017

shop my stash april 2017

Yes… it is June. I apologize for my tardiness but for most of April and May, the NHL playoffs took over my life. This was the  first time in a very, very long time that the Oilers made it into the playoffs so to me it was a big deal! 11 years of not having post season hockey in Edmonton was rough so I had to watch every game and games were pretty pretty much every other day. The Oilers made it to Game 7 in Round 2 in the Western Conference semi-finals before getting eliminated. I’m so proud of this team! And now that the post season is over, my (and all the other hardcore fans here in YEG) life can get back to normal again… and for me, that means my evenings are free again and I can go back to blogging.

While this is my Shop My Stash recap from April, I still felt that it was important for me to write about it. It really helps in terms of accountability to myself and getting back on track. I used many of these products well into May and because of that I decided my next basket is what I used for the rest of May and into June.

Without further adieu, let’s get started!

For those of you who are new to this series, every month in 2017. I will be selecting (or ‘shopping’) different items from my makeup collection (aka the ‘Stash’) in an attempt to rediscover and use up what I already own instead of going to the store or shopping online. When your collection gets out of hand, you tend to forget what you already have.

If you want to read up more about this series, please see my introductory post. It contains a pretty thorough explanation as to what this is all about. 🙂  Also you can check out all my other Shop My Stash posts here.

I break down my recap posts into three parts: empties, keepers and rejects. Included is a quick write up about each product to express my thoughts about each one. I like to start off with success so lets look at the empties first! Grab a cup of tea or coffee. This is gonna be a long one – but a good one! I promise. 😉

The Empties

When I first started this, I knew that I could not sustain a steady stream of empties because it’s makeup and makeup is just that much harder to use up compared to something like skincare, for example. I just wouldn’t have as many empties as I would in the beginning. In the beginning, you’re excited about finishing products so, naturally, you start with the items that are well on their way to becoming empty anyways. Those are the “quick wins”. Once those are finished, empties might be few and far between in the makeup world as proven by my empties in April – there was only one.

shop my stash april 2017

Face Primer: Too Faced Hangover RX Replenishing Face Primer
I have used up a couple of these deluxe samples now and I continue to really love this primer. This super lightweight, very hydrating primer is one of my go-to’s! It absorbs quickly into my skin and has a light scent. It does a great job keeping my makeup in place. No complaints here! Other than the fact that this is empty. But that’s okay, I still have one more deluxe sample I can use.

The Keepers

There are a lot of keepers in April. That’s good and bad. Good because I have reassurance that I own products I like and even love. Not so good because keeping these items is not helping me make my makeup collection any smaller! We have a lot of ground to cover so we should begin now.

shop my stash april 2017

Face Primer: Smashbox Photo Finish More Than Primer Blemish Control
While this is not my favourite, it’s a small enough sample that I will likely use it up. I didn’t notice a difference with my blemishes at all but my makeup stayed put. Good enough reason to keep it.

Pore Reducer: Benefit POREfessional
Honestly, this is holy grail for me. It is great for the pores on my nose and forehead and it really helps to even out my skin prior to makeup application. You don’t need much so even a deluxe sized tube lasts a long time. I have a ton of these samples which is a great money saver as I won’t need to buy a full sized one yet. (Which I have used up before. A full sized tube truly does last forever!) I will continue to work through my deluxe samples happily.

Concealer: Maybelline FitMe Concealer in Medium
My boly grail drugstore concealer. It really does feel and look like a dupe for the NARS Radiant Cream Concealer (which I also love). Great coverage that’s buildable. The shade Medium is a perfect shade match for me, too. This is my second tube of this stuff. I love it that much. 🙂

Concealer: IT Cosmetics Bye By Undereye in Medium
Super thick, super coverage! I don’t often need this much coverage but when I do, it works so well. You don’t need to use much of it to be effective. It’s not my favourite but it’s still good enough to keep on hand.

Foundation / BB Cream: Maybelline FitMe Matte + Poreless Foundation in Natural Beige, Clinique Stay-Matte Oil-Free Makeup in Neutral
I just love the FitMe line from Maybelline. I just think all the products I have tried have been so great and this one is no different. Similar to the regular FitMe foundation, this also applies easily and does a great job covering up dark spots and blemishes, giving me a matte look. It blends great, too. I can’t say enough good things about these FitMe foundation and concealers.

Foundation / BB Cream: Clinique Stay-Matte Oil-Free Makeup in Neutral
This is a nice foundation that has medium coverage. IT fees light on my skin and blends nicely. I like the packaging because the squeeze tube makes it easy to use and is compact enough that it’s protable and great for traveling or handy to keep in your weekend bag. Like when I go camping and need a bit of coverage. 🙂

BlushElizabeth Mott Show Me Your Cheeks in Peach Pink
Seriously, I feel like I am repeating myself with all this holy grail business in this post but I only tell the truth. And this one is my holy grail blush! I have backups of it. Yes, plural. So I’m not afraid of using this gem from ipsy. I love using it! It’s the perfect shade for me! It’s so good. So good.

Blush: Physicians Formula Butter Blush in Natural Glow
Love this blush! It has nice pigmentation and it smells so nice. It’s so smooth and buttery, too! I can see how this product got it’s name. I will continue to use it, for sure!

Highlighter: Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Liquid Highlighter in Opal
I adore Becca highlighters but this was my first time trying the liquid version. You definitely don’t need very much to achieve a natural glow. I usually just use my finger to apply it and pat it on the spots I use highlighter on, such as high on my cheekbones and the bridge of my nose. I like it but I still prefer the pressed powder version.

Setting Powder: GOSH prime ‘n set Primer & Mattifying Setting Powder
This is my second tub of this stuff so that is proof enough that I really like this product. The Shoppers I go to (well, three locations to be exact) always seems to be sold out of this so when I finally saw it restocked, I snatched this one up! This translucent powder can also be used as a primer but I primarily use it to set my make up. It doesn’t look powdery on my face at all and my make up stays put. I think it’s great!

shop my stash april 2017

Mascara Primer: Wet n Wild PhotoFocus Lash Primer
I am starting to notice that the consistency of my Wet n Wild eyeshadow primer has changed. It is getting thicker. I like this product a lot but I think this only has a month… maaaybe two.. left before it ends up on my empties list. I have been using this since November or December so that makes sense.

Mascara: Benefit Roller Lash Deluxe Mascara
I still love this mascara. This particular tube has been in use since March so I will likely continue using it in May and June. It keeps my lashes curled and I found that it thickens my lashes, as well. Great all around! And I love these deluxe sized mascaras.

Mascara: Tarte Lights, Camera, Flashes Deluxe Mascara
Another great mascara! This has really been a pleasant surprise. I am really enjoying this one. It separates my lashes nicely and thickens and lengthens them, too. I may prefer this over the Roller Lash if I’m being honest with myself. Gah. They are both pretty great.

Brow: ColourPop Brow Pencil in Bangin’ Brunette
I really like this ColourPop brow pencil… except that it keeps breaking on me. The formulation is great and this is the perfect shade match so that my brows look filled in but natural. I just wish it wasn’t so fragile!

Brow Setting Gel: MAC Brow Set in Clear
Probably my third, perhaps fourth, tube. Love it. Enough said. I don’t have any other brow gel at the moment so I think for May and June, I will use this one and then discontinue this item from my Shop My Stash. When there’s only one, there’s no point bringing it back every month!

Eyeliner: Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper
Another holy grail but it’s drying out. I think this only has a month or two left in it, as well. This is definitely one that I will keep buying over and over again… well, maybe I will get my next KVD liquid liner after I finish the others I have first.

shop my stash april 2017

Eye primer: Wet n Wild PhotoFocus Eyeshadow Primer
This is a good eye primer. It keeps my shadow staying put and lasting all day. I will continue to use it.

Setting Spray: Urban Decay All-Nighter Makeup Setting Spray
So good! It helps keep my makeup on my face all day. It is also very refreshing to spray on anytime during the day. Love it.

Eyeshadow (palette or singles): Too Faced Natural Eyes Neutral Eye Shadow Collection
A holy grail palette of mine. I know.. this phrase is starting to get overused in this post! I don’t have many palettes where I have hit pan on but for this one, I have hit pan on three shades! It’s just so versatile and you can use it with any look from natural to glam and that is why I love it. Such a great palette to have in one’s collection.

Eyeshadow (palette or singles): tarte Tartelette tease palette
Love this one, too! I’ve hit pan on one shade. The mirror is also great so I do sometimes keep this in my purse. Like the Too Faced palette I just talked about, this one is very pigmented and the shades are so versatile. The shades are also so me.

The Rejects

There is only one in April. I’m not sure if that’s good or bad. Good because I did actually spend my money on products I like or love. Bad because I am trying to destash and I’m only getting rid of one thing. But it’s still something!

shop my stash april 2017

Foundation / BB Cream: Maybelline Dream Velvet Soft-Matte Hydrating Foundation in Natural Beige
Natural Beige is definitely not my shade… which is odd because most natural beige shades work for me. I find this shade too grey for my skin tone. It just doesn’t look good at all.

So that’s it for now! There were a lot of products I loved in April! It was a good month and I really liked (most) everything that I used.

My May and June Shop My Stash post is well overdue. I already have that blog post in progress (I was working on it in tandem with this one) so check back in a few days as I plan to have it posted this weekend. 🙂

I hope you’re all having a great week! Until next time! 🙂

Unboxing + Review: ipsy April 2017 Side Show

ipsy glam bag april 2017

April’s ipsy glam bag is your ticket in to the show. Literally. The bag is a shaped like a ticket! 🙂

The theme for April’s bag is Side Show. It represents fun – like having fun at the arcade, having fun on the rides and just having fun in general.

While the bag itself is unique and cute, it does lack storage space in that it’s not the ipsy bag that would hold the most stuff. It is more about how it looks than it is practical, in my opinion. Still super cute, though. It would make a great conversation starter if you use it as a clutch!

Moving on, let’s take a look at the items I received in my bag.

The first item in my glam bag also embodies the “fun” vibe. The Glamour Dolls x Lisa Frank Angle Blush Brush ($5.00 USD) has unicorns and rainbows on it. This seems to be the “in thing” with a lot of companies nowadays, especially with unicorns, so I feel like this brush is very current. And the whole Lisa Frank think is totally a throwback to my childhood. I grew up loving Lisa Frank products and often saw the Lisa Frank ads in my Archie comic books and digests. I used to collect the stickers, buy stationery for school… the handle on this brush is just so nostalgic for me! The brush itself has very soft bristles with rose gold on the handle. So cute! This would be a great brush, not only for blush, but for power highlighters and bronzers, as well.

ipsy glam bag April 2017 Glamour Dolls Lisa Frank

Next up, we have the Adesse New York Cupuacu Butter Lip Balm ($24.00 USD, 3 g) – and it is indeed full sized! Being the lip balm junking that I am, I was happy to see this. I have never heard of the brand Adesse before so I’m looking forward to trying it. The site says that this lip balm will smooth, moisturize and hydrate your lips. It looks two-toned but it’s mostly sheer and the centre core is “infused with cold pressed Cupaucu Butter”. The ginger mint scent is subtle but not my favourite. I find lip butters to be more moisturizing than just simple lip balms so I’m curious to see if that’s the case with this one.

Now how cute is this packaging? I recieved the Ciate London Mini Bamboo Bronzer in the shade Palm Island ($8.00 USD, 0.1 oz). Stars and a bow – what can I say? I am a sucker for cute packaging! 🙂 Palm Island is a mid to dark bronze. I think this shade should work on me… as long as I’m not super tanned. It feels silky to the touch and is lightweight. What I really like about this is that it’s a matte bronzer. There’s now glitter or shimmer or anything. I also love how it comes in a mini size. i can definitely keep it in my camping makeup bag and use it for travel in general.

This one I am super curious about. The Jesse’s Girl Liquid Eyeliner in Black ($6.99 USD, 1 ml) says it is Japanese made on the packaging and I’ve had great success with some Asian eyeliners in the past. It has a super thin, super precise tip which is what I usually use with liquid liners so this is right up my alley! Reminds me a bit of my holy grail Kat Von D Tattoo Liner that I adore. I haven’t tried it yet because I currently still have one KVD and an Essence eyeliner that I’m using but I will certainly try this one in the future. I hope it works well.

The last item in my bag was the Avene Rich Compensating Cream ($3.50 USD, 5 ml). I am a big fan of Avene moisturizers and this one would have been very handy this past winter when my face felt drier than usual. This is a richer, thicker moisturizer that is said to melt into your skin to soothe and nourish it. It doesn’t hurt to keep a product like this around if you tend to have dry skin at times. I’m sure I will be using it at some point in time.

And there we have it. The total value of my April ipsy glam bag was $47.49 USD which makes it around $65 CAD at today’s exchange rate. That’s not bad.

This wasn’t my absolute favourite bag but it was still pretty good. I will be using pretty much everything I received so that’s always a plus!

What was in your April glam bag?

Until next time, friends!
